Launch Week Patch Notes

Sigil Games launched Divinum on Friday, 28 August 2026 for Windows and macOS on Steam. The developer’s own post called it a ten-year project finally in players’ hands and asked people to share combos and builds. This page is the fan-wiki launch brief: features, price, bugs you should play around, and the order of wiki pages that will actually help tonight.

Confirm live details on the Steam store. We are not the developer.

What you are buying

  • Single-player 2D action-adventure with Metroidvania routing and spectacle-fighter combat.
  • Full controller support, keyboard-only option, DualShock and DualSense support, camera comfort, custom volume, Steam Cloud, stats, family sharing.
  • Forty-five achievements (localisation of those achievements into every supported language is on the roadmap).
  • Steam Deck Verified.
  • A demo that remained listed after launch — several reviewers told people to try it, then buy. See demo vs full.
  • Early Steam reviews: Positive, 97% of 45 user reviews on a launch-week snapshot (small sample). Metacritic still showed critic and user scores as pending on 29 August.

List price is $14.99, with an introductory −10% offer (store pages showed $13.49) running into 11 September 2026. Regional prices vary. As of 29 August 2026 the Steam news hub still listed only the launch-day “Divinum is OUT NOW!” post. There were no numbered 1.0.x patch notes yet. Bug fixing remains item one on the roadmap.

Supported languages

Steam lists interface and subtitles for English, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Spanish (Spain), Portuguese (Brazil), Korean, French, and German. This wiki covers English plus Japanese, German, and Spanish. There is no spoken full-audio language on the store table.

Known launch issues (play around them)

Ledge clip / ceiling phase. If you climb a ledge and jump in the same moment, Fjør can glitch, walk through walls, gain infinite jumps, and then fail to enter other rooms — you pass the doorway into a void. Launch-day Steam discussions include a thread titled “Phased through a ceiling [Bug]”. Dodge sometimes frees you. Otherwise quit to the main menu and resume. Do not keep exploring inside the bug. Multiple launch reviews described this.

Other collision hits. At least one player mentioned getting stuck and needing a menu reset even when dodge usually works. If a boss “kills” you inside geometry, assume collision first.

Low-end hitching. Official minimums are light (see system requirements), but a “potato” machine still reported issues. Cap FPS, drop effects if a slider exists, and prefer 16:9.

Presentation nicks. Missing dialogue portraits and similar names making NPCs blur together. Annoying, not a crash.

Hands. Rapid strings can cramp. That is not a defect in the build. Take breaks, especially in cleansing rooms.

What is not a bug

  • Empty-mana stun after a block. That is a 0.39 rule that shipped on purpose. Read combat combos.
  • Hard optional rituals. They are graded content, not unfinished story bosses.
  • Short campaign suspicions. Compact was always the pitch.
  • No multiplayer. The store is single-player only.

First-session order

  1. Bind dash, block, map, and weapon swap using controls.
  2. Play the prologue with getting started open.
  3. Practise launches before you spend Sanctite.
  4. Grab shards via map exploration.
  5. Slot a rune build that matches the next room.
  6. If you clip, menu-quit, then come back here to see if we have a better workaround.

Trailer and feel check

The short official gameplay trailer is embedded mid-page if you want a motion check before the first boss. Longer impressions live in the review. Indie showcases from 2025 still look like the shipped game because the combat fantasy did not change; only the island and the polish did.

After you sleep

Read the roadmap so you know what Sigil Games already promised: bugs first, then balance and feedback, then achievement localisation and extra challenge content. If a patch lands that deletes the ledge clip, this page will say so at the top.

Until then, play stylish, keep mana in the tank, and do not treat a void door as a sequence break.
